There was also another thing that the Maestro did not forget to do before each concert, that is to ask the technicians to make a recording of the entire program on magnetic tape for his private archive.

There are hundreds of tapes that have been jealously preserved for many years in the personal archive of the Master and later of the Foundation dedicated to him, however suffering the harmful consequences of time.

In collaboration with Hemiolia, the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation has decided to restore and secure this vast musical archive which represents an artistic and historical heritage of immense value and which also contains unpublished tracks, coming from various concerts performed in different locations around the world.

The tapes, all two stereo tracks but with various technical characteristics in terms of support used, equalization and recording speed, thanks to the skilled hands of Pietro Benini have undergone a meticulous restoration, the years had made their weight felt and for the most of them were damaged by sticking phenomena and in some cases even attacked by molds.

But these were not the only problems  in order to achieve the ambitious goal of producing master tapes of absolute reference dedicated to Maestro Pavarotti, discover the history of this great project by reading the insert that you you find in the "attachments" tab.

This project represented for Hemiolia a great commitment in terms of human, technical and economic resources to be able to offer all fans of Master Tapes who claim to go well beyond the already enormous historical and artistic value of their content, generating during the the listen  sensations and emotions that have the ability to materialize in front of us the presence of an artist that will always remain unique for his talent and charisma.
